Dermal Fillers

Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that restore volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial contours. They can also be used as part of gender-affirming treatments

What to Expect
  • You’ll see a small tray with clean tools and syringes, all laid out before we start.

  • You might notice a mild antiseptic scent when we clean the skin — we can use a low-odour version.

  • There are soft clicks when sterile caps open and a faint snap sound when the syringe connects.

  • You’ll feel a cool wipe, then small pinches or gentle pressure as the filler is placed. Sometimes there’s a feeling of fullness or warmth under the skin.

  • The area may feel warm or slightly tight afterwards — this is normal and settles quickly.

  • If numbing cream is used, you might feel tingling or mild firmness for a few minutes.

During Treatment
  • We’ll tell you what’s happening before every touch.

  • You can raise your hand or say pause any time — we’ll stop straight away.

  • We can work in short stages or take breaks between sides.

  • Eye mask, music, or silence — your choice.

Aftercare
  • Mild swelling or tenderness for 24–72 hours.

  • Use a cool pack for 10 minutes at a time.

  • Small bruises can appear — they fade within days.

  • Avoid scented balms or perfumed skincare until fully healed.

  • Lips or cheeks may feel firm before they soften.

  • Gently cleanse with mild, unscented products only.

Reassurance

All sensations — pressure, tingling, warmth — are temporary. Your results will soften and settle over the next few days. If anything feels unusual or more intense than expected, contact us for advice — there’s no such thing as over-asking here.

Dermaplaning

Modern Man

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive, physical exfoliation procedure that uses a sterile, surgical-grade blade to gently scrape away dead skin cells and facial hair ("peach fuzz") from the face.

What to Expect
  • You’ll see a small, clean blade tool — it looks more like a fine scraper than anything sharp.

  • We’ll use an unscented cleanser and a light facial oil to help the blade glide smoothly — no citrus or menthol smells.

  • You might hear a soft “zip” or scraping sound as the fine hairs lift.

  • You’ll feel light, sweeping movements on your skin; the pressure is gentle and even.

  • Your skin might feel slightly cool or tingly afterwards.

During Treatment
  • We’ll explain before each section so there are no surprises.

  • You can keep your eyes closed, wear an eye mask, or listen to music.

  • We can pause or stop at any time if something feels uncomfortable.

  • If the sound of the blade is distracting, we can use quiet background music.

Aftercare
  • Skin can feel smoother or a bit“squeaky clean.”

  • Apply the bland, unscented cream we provide to reduce that feeling.

  • Avoid makeup and exfoliating products for 24 hours.

  • Skip fragranced products until the next day.

  • Redness usually fades within a few hours — completely normal.

Reassurance

Dermaplaning doesn’t make hair grow back thicker — it just removes the fine surface layer. Your skin may feel extra soft and smooth, and that “fresh air on skin” feeling usually fades by the next day.

Microneedling

Hair Treatment Procedure

Microneedling is a minimally invasive dermatological procedure that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. Combining microneedling with Minoxidil significantly enhances hair growth by increasing scalp blood flow, stimulating growth factors, and improving medication absorption.

What to Expect
  • The device looks like a small pen with a light on top.

  • You’ll see everything set out clearly before we start.

  • You might notice a faint clean scent from the prep solution — we can open wipes away from you or use low-odour options.

  • You’ll hear a soft buzzing or vibrating sound while the device is running.

  • You’ll feel a tingly vibration moving across your skin in even rows — we’ll count the areas as we go so it’s predictable.

  • The skin can feel warm or lightly flushed as we work

  • If using Minoxidil (for hair growth treatments), this has a stronger medicinal smell, a bit like antiseptic or alcohol — we can apply it in stages or use a fan.

  • You’ll feel a cool, wet sensation and possibly a light sting in more sensitive spots.

During Treatment
  • We’ll explain before each section starts.

  • You can ask for a short break at any point.

  • We can use ice or a fan between areas to cool the skin.

  • You can bring headphones if you prefer your own sound or music.

Aftercare
  • Skin can feel warm or tight for 24–48 hours.

  • It may look flushed like mild sunburn — normal and fades quickly.

  • Use only the bland moisturiser we provide for the first 48 hours.

  • Avoid fragranced or alcohol-based products.

  • No makeup or active skincare for two days.

Reassurance

Your skin’s warmth and redness are part of its natural healing— they’ll fade within a day or two. If we used Minoxidil, you might still notice a faint medicinal smell until it fully dries. Hydration and gentle care will help everything settle beautifully.

Facial

Facial Treatment Session

Treat yourself to a relaxing, cleansing facial with a nutrient-rich clay mask.

 â€‹

What to Expect
  • Soft lighting and calm surroundings — you can keep your eyes open or closed.

  • We’ll use gentle, fragrance-free or lightly scented products (you can choose).

  • You’ll hear quiet background music or soft brush sounds — silence is fine too.

  • You’ll feel gentle cleansing movements and light brush strokes as we apply products.

  • The warming eye mask will feel comfortably warm, not hot — we always check before placing it.

  • A soft lip balm might be applied at the end.

During Treatment
  • We’ll explain each step before it happens so you can predict textures and temperatures.

  • You can request silence or guided narration (“now applying cleanser… mask coming on…”).

  • The clay mask will start cool, then tighten slightly as it dries — we’ll let you know before removal.

  • You can pause, adjust, or remove the eye mask at any time.

Aftercare
  • You might feel warm and relaxed for a few hours afterwards — that’s normal.

  • Skin may feel soft, fresh, or slightly tight if we’ve used a clay mask.

  • Avoid heavy perfume or fragranced moisturiser for 12–24 hours.

  • You can cleanse with gentle, unscented products the next day.

  • Drink water to stay hydrated — it helps your skin rebalance.

Reassurance

Facials are designed to calm your skin and your senses — if anything feels too warm, tight, or tingly, we’ll adjust straight away. Your skin may look a little flushed at first; this fades within an hour or two. The warmth and scent are optional — comfort always comes first.
